The ASPCA event drew a passionate and distinguished crowd of animal lovers—including community leaders and celebrities like Christiane Seidel from Boardwalk Empire —to NYC Thursday night, who came to dine and dance in support of the ASPCA’s mission of the prevention of cruelty to animals. The Young Friends Benefit is one of the foundation’s most impactful fundraising efforts which directly impacts the lives of the homeless, abused and neglected animals across the country. The event also featured a screening of “The Dog Walk,” a new campaign from Ralph Lauren in honor of the ASPCA’s Adopt-A-Shelter-Dog Month.
To give Christiane the Purrrrrfict look for the ASPCA event we decided to do a side fishtail french braid that flowed down and left the other side of hair loose and full of curls. We did this by first giving the hair a spray of Salon Grafix ReStyler to prep the hair and a bit of Shaping Hairspray before going onto curling the hair with a one inch Babyliss Pro Curling Rod.. Once all the hair had a great curl and bounce to it we started on the braid. After the braid was done and a few bobby pins were put into the loose hair to keep it in its perfect place a little bit of High Gloss Hairspray was applied to all the hair to finish the look and add shine.
The makeup look was done with POP cosmetics and we did a bronze and midnight blue smoky eye and a natural pink shaded lip. To prep the skin prior to applying the makeup we used a great light moisturizer from DDF. We went with a great deep red shade for the nails by ZOYA. And for that all over perfect glow we used Fake Bake.
