A HIGH-TECH, VISUAL LOUNGE

To successfully integrate EIZO (our display technology sponsor) into Caravan’s 2016 NY TV UpFronts event, we wanted as much interaction as possible to occur in our usually soft-spoken lounge area.

We were fortunate to have groundbreaking companies like PIOL that paired well to having EIZO monitors display their unique and bespoke dress design technology, especially when color-accuracy matters the most. Dresses by PIOL take advantage of the human color palette–the color of your hair, eyes, and skin tone–in order to find the most color-complementary match in fabric colors and patterns available as a base to your custom dress. Although physical color swatches were readily available, PIOL’s technology and its website benefited directly from being displayed through a 27″ EIZO ColorEdge monitor, making it faster and easier for our celebrity and influencer guests to design their custom dresses. Everyone’s final dress designs were displayed alongside our happy guests during the experience.eizo

EIZO FASHION SELFIE “MIRRORS”

A happy side-effect of having two EIZO ColorEdge monitor displayed in our lounge was the added benefit of having an immediate “post-photo visual check.”

On a lighthearted note, we were applauded for having a setup that displayed our actors and actresses “as shot” in their outfits because seeing these results as they were photographed provided a different “selfie” view versus a standard long-length, dressing room mirror. Since our celebrity guests would be in front of cameras and walking red carpets the EIZO monitors gave them the chance to see their whole overall camera “look” right then and there.

Having the EIZO monitors was invaluable in helping our celebrity guests finalize the perfect camera ready garment choices.

Since we opted to have a wireless setup, photos were transferred and displayed quickly to an independent horizontally displayed 27″ EIZO monitor. Having the two EIZO monitors was a huge success for all of our guests. We utilized one for PIOL while the second monitor displayed current images being captured of our celebrity guests in their fabulous wardrobe choices they found at the event.eizo3

SUCCESSFUL INTERACTIONS

Last year our lounge setups were clearly missing interactivity and although we have always had success, having the two fantastic EIZO monitors available has raised the standards of making sure even the “lounge area” was all a desired hot spot to chill.

There are certain elements, company partnerships, and capabilities that were enabled by having beautiful, large and professionally displayed monitors available. And although this major event did not involve (nor needed) any pixel-perfect retouching, the EIZO monitors had proven extremely useful in their presentation of Caravan’s 2015 NY TV UpFronts event and, clearly, our guests noticed too!Eizo-ColorEdge-CG247-650x621
