The young and vibrant Emma Kenney checked out Caravan Stylist Studio at the Carlton Hotel for her dress pick for the premiere of “EPIC”. You may recognize Emma from the Showtime TV series Shameless where she plays the role of Debbie Gallagher.
Emma found the perfect dress at Caravan by designer Sachin + Babi. This dress is perfect for a beautiful spring day with shades of light greys and trimmed with a lovely light pink piping. Her pretty ring was by Kira Kira jewelry and her shoes were so great – a really pretty silver shoe by Vince Camuto.
We had some fun with Emma’s nails we decided on a nail art that mimicked the pattern on the dress. Using all Zoya polish we started with painting the whole nail with the shade Snow White. Once that was dry we used two shades of polish one in Evvie and the other Tobey taking a thin small nail art brush and swiping the dark grey shade Evvie from the nail bed to about the middle of the nail and using the electric pink shade Tobey and swiping it from the tip of the nail upward to the middle of the nail. Add a topcoat and this smashing nail art is ready to go.
For Emma’s hair we decided to do an updo mixed with a few fishtail braids. Starting off with a little bit of Salon Grafix moose near the roots of the hair to help hold the look and tame flyaways. Taking the hair in two sections the bulk of the hair gathered on the top of the head and forming a deconstructed bun and the lower smaller portion was gathered near the nape of the neck and given a fishtail braid that was woven into the bun. Emma’s bangs were pulled back and were given a fishtail braid that wove into the bun. A few sprays of Salon Grafix High Gloss Hairspray and her hair was Red Carpet ready.
Emma is a young natural beauty so it didn’t take much in the way of makeup. We used POP Beauty for her makeup going with Beam Base Primer for a natural fresh glow to her already beautiful skin. A swipe of light pink shadow with a bit of mascara and a dab of pink lip gloss and she was ready to go.
