Junk Food hosted a private event showcasing their series of t-shirts with graphics from avant garde artists including the late neo-expressionist artist Jean-Michel Basquiat and muralist Keith Haring, along with musical performance by Lily Lane. It happened at the Carlton hotel, a popular gathering place for New York artists in the 1920s, and will be feature exploded art and images from Junk Food’s Spring 2014 catalog. Carlton is also home to Caravan Stylist Studio which runs a program to help introduce emerging designers to talent and is a catalyst for an assortment of events throughout the year at the hotel.
