Laneya Wiles stars in GIMME SHELTER. The film, which hit theatres January 24th, also stars Vanessa Hudgens, James Earl Jones, Rosario Dawson, and Brendan Fraiser and one of our other favorite ladies – Dascha Polanco. Based on a true story centering on 16-year-old Agnes “Apple” Bailey (Vanessa Hudgens), GIMME SHELTER uncovers the struggle for survival and the hope of redemption through the harsh realities of life on the streets. As a pregnant teenager, Apple’s journey plummets her into a perilous struggle until finding salvation in a suburban shelter for homeless teens. With provisions of unprecedented comfort, a collective sisterhood connection and female empowerment, the shelter, inspire Apple to break the shackles of her past and inspires her to embrace the future with clarity, maturity and hope not only for herself but her unborn child. Laneya will play Jasmine Colon, one of Apple’s friends, and constant support in the shelter, as she too comes from a similar background of rape and teen pregnancy.

Lamictal) and Time Warner Cable. She’s worked on radio spots for products like Gilette Venus “Embrace”, Metlife, and AT&T as well as contributing her voice to ADR work for films like “Spinning Into Butter”, Rosie O’ Donnell’s Lifetime movie “America”, “On The One”, Showtime’s “Angel”, and “Brooklyn’s Finest”. She could also be seen in music videos such as Mario’s “Just a Friend” and “Boom”, was Young Jeezy’s leading lady in the “Streets on Lock” video by Bleu Davinci feat Fabolous; working with some of the hottest directors out there such as Benny Boom, Juwan Lee, Diane Martel and Hype Williams.
