Between watching the Golden Globes Awards, Grammys, and Oscars we can’t get enough of dresses! Neither can Gregg Pellegrini and Eric Sweeney, designers of Lotusgrace, who create “elegant and unique dresses”.  I got a chance to sit down with Mr.Pellegrini and ask him a few questions about his luxurious collection.  The creation of this brand brings out the personalities of women, a sense of luxury and ads ease to wear. Together these two entrepreneurs’ found their love and passion for dress design.

This portmanteau brand represents the design of these dresses. Lotus, a sacred flower of eastern religions, is commonly found growing within muddy waters. However, when the flower reaches the sunlight it blooms into a beautiful flower. With the beauty of a lotus flower and grace of a woman, the invention of Lotusgrace was born.

The inspirations behind Lotusgrace are the fashion trends from the decades of the 50’s and 60’s. These decades embraced the silhouette of a women’s figure and encouraged sophistication, which Lotusgrace hopes to long live in their collections. Mr. Pellegrini explained how they specifically focused on the 50’s party dresses and 60’s A- line dresses.  These iconic shapes give every woman an appealing figure which Lotusgrace executes well. Mr. Pellegrini described the fun and enjoyment he and his partner get to experience while developing designs. Unlike other fashion designers and forecasters, these two men like to create their own originality for each season without following trends. With inside inspiration and a fresh eye to create new innovations, Lotusgrace stands out on the racks. Where can you find these dresses?  Saks Fifth Ave and other fine specialty stores. For Lotusgrace it is all about the attitude and sensibility of a woman, age is nothing but a number

These American designers keep their garments made within the famous New York City garment district. They chose this location in order to support the garment district along with producing the dresses in a quick and efficient way. Since their offices are located where the production is made, the designers get to oversee their creations frequently. With the custom made trim, seam binding and couture made craftsmanship, every woman will be sure to look fashionably ready. What makes Lotusgrace especially unique is the fact that every single garment is carefully looked over before it leaves the showroom. With the assurance of the designer’s approval, every garment is sure to be in immaculate condition.

Not only has Mr. Pellegrini and Mr. Sweeney designed such beautiful dresses for women to wear but they have also given back to the community. Lotusgrace has participated in the Audi Forum, which is a fashion fundraiser to help raise money and fight cancer by donating all proceeds to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. It’s important not only to admire a designer who creates such stunning collections but to also admire the designer for who they are. At Caravan, we love Gregg Pellegrini and Eric Sweeney for the inspiration they are….and their divine dresses!
