CARAVAN STYLIST STUDIO AND OLIVE OYL TEAM UP WITH THE CARLTON HOTEL

NEW YORK – Caravan Stylist Studio, an innovative wardrobe and beauty company that pairs actresses, tastemakers and media influencers with top fashion designers and beauty experts, welcomes guests to an elegant new home located  within the historic Carlton hotel. To commemorate the move, Caravan Stylist Studio has called on pop culture icon, Olive Oyl, to be part of its fashion team.

Olive Oyl, who recently moved to New York from Los Angeles, has worked with Caravan in the past on promoting their Fashion Week events, including being their Fashion Night Out event hostess and digital correspondent in September 2012. Since moving to the Big Apple, Olive Oyl has become quite the fashion aficionado, interviewing designers, such as Dana-Maxx Pomerantz of Dana-Maxx, Denise Gertmenian of Rae, Don O’Neill of Theia, and many others, for her fashion blog, OliveOyl.com. At Caravan, Olive Oyl will be interviewing the studio’s designer friends and reporting on fashion and lifestyle trends.

“Olive’s wit, charm and ability to gain a great interview from some of the designers every week is priceless,” said Caravan Stylist Studio founder Claudine DeSola. “She brings an impeccable sense of style and flair for the dramatic to her position.”

Each week, Caravan Stylist Studio partners with more than two dozen designers to select clothing and accessories for Caravan’s esteemed guests. In addition, a full-time beauty expert provides clients with a host of other complimentary services, including hair styling, makeup application, mini skincare-spa treatments and nail design. Last year, Caravan welcomed more than 2,000 visitors, many of whom were preparing for red carpet premieres, television appearances and concerts. The studio also regularly hosts press events. Located in Midtown Manhattan, within walking distance of the Fashion District, the Carlton, an Autograph hotel, blends old-world luxury and Beaux-Arts flourishes with stylish modernism.

Olive Oyl will not only be working at the Carlton hotel each day but she has also taken up residence at the beautiful property, which has its very own concierge and host of the hotel, who is aptly named Carlton. He is very excited about Olive staying at the hotel and plans to give her tips on some of his favorite places in the City.  Carlton is known to be the savviest concierge in New York City, and Olive Oyl is very excited to get the inside scoop direct from the master. She plans to write about her New York experiences on her blog and also make some guest appearances on www.caravanstyliststudio.com.
