House of the Gods

If you ever dare to let out your inner Rock Star or just want to feel a little edgy, then House of the Gods may be perfect for you.  We have all gone gaga over these amazing “original bootleg” Tees.  They come in an assortment of styles that range from button embellishments, cut outs, sequins and more.  You have to get your hands on one of these tees and be the envy of the downtown edgy New York City scene!

House of the Gods was founded by Buddhistpunk in 2006 to take advantage of the Rock & Roll relationships that Buddhistpunk has built up since its own launch in 1999.

Buddhistpunk has collaborated both professionally and privately, whether for the stage, publicity, tour merchandise or their own personal wardrobes, for artists as diverse as “ Schooly D, The Prodigy, The Gossip, Gary Numan, The Rolling Stones, Blondie, Guns and Roses, Aerosmith, Kylie, Britney Spears, U2, Ian Astbury, Iggy Pop, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Roxy Music, Run DMC, David Bowie, The Police and many more.

Buddhistpunk is heavily print based and shares a natural aesthetic with Rock & Roll, the spirit of being in the moment, of mixing pop culture iconography with the now, the low and the high and is probably the most integrated fashion house with the Rock & Roll industry.

House of the Gods continues in the great tradition of Rock & Roll garments and band tees which embody the spirit of our favorite artists and was launched to specialize in design driven Rock & Roll fashion, developing its own singular style of original artwork reinventing iconic imagery in the context of modern fashion and so making it relevant today.

The House of the Gods range for men and women includes a variety of t.shirts and dress styles, alongside other customized rock and roll wardrobe essentials. The range is currently sold worldwide through leading department stores and independent boutiques.

Montego Glover Visits Caravan During Upfronts!

Montego Glover, star of the Broadway musical Memphis stopped by Caravan Stylist Studio for some cool clothes and accessories. She was lucky to find some really great things for herself.

She fell immediately for this Cotton David Bowie House of the Gods tee, and these perfectly matching Cotton Buffalo cropped skinnies. She also love love loved this short sleeve swing tee, which features the iconic Rolling Stones tongue on the front, covered in multi-color sequin. We thought the Cotton watermelon Tractr Jean worked perfectly with this oversized tee. She loved this cool Cotton Woodleigh graduated maxi, that was so awesome for a nice spring/summer day, an outfit that wouldn’t be complete without this awesome Hat Attack straw hat.

Montego was an absolute ball and kept us laughing with her super bubbly personality the whole time. We hope to see her again soon!

Two of a Kind!

Girls are notorious for doing everything together. From shopping to bathroom breaks, we are nearly inseparable from our best friends. But, as we all know, for as much as we have in common with our best friends, our styles can be like day and night. Our interoffice BFFs, Saalima and Taniqua, are proof that just because you and your BFF do everything the same way doesn’t mean you wear everything the same way.

Like any girl, they both fell in love with Rae dresses.  Saalima found a sassy blue dress with always fun cold-shoulder details, it was appropriate for work, but still with enough edge to steal the spotlight. Never knowing a dull moment, she paired this rich dress with a red stand-out Remi & Emmy handbag that she carried on an arm wrapped up in leather Seah bracelets. Her best friend, Taniqua, loves a feminine and classic style. A believer that classy is always fabulous, she found a buttoned up and fabulous Rae dress, that is appropriate but still playful with some bright Report shoes. She grabs her always perfect Remi & Emmy snakeskin carryall and finishes it all off with some sweet, simple chains by Accessory Artists.

House of the Gods is the ultimate rocker’s paradise. Saalima felt right at home pairing her dramatic tee with a scene stealing sequin Marti dress. For a naturally edgy girl, the only thing missing from a statement outfit like this is a standout clutch like this red patent Nina bag. She adds a pair of bedazzled Dawn Sandomeno from Accessory Artists dog tags and she is ready for a night of fun with her best friend. Despite being so classic, Taniqua was not able to resist a House of the Gods Tee, she picked a more tailored, fitted tee and like her friend, she too found that the Marti sparkle was irresistible. Instead of a look-at-me dress, she went for a pair of smart yet exciting sparkle pants. She finished with a clean MIA patent heel that only complimented the entire look. She adds her finishing touches with a fresh geo necklace by Accessory Artists and a cool Rebecca Minkoff cross body, the perfect bag for a night out. Same designers, events, and company, yet their unique styles still set them apart.
