Sky Nellor stops by Caravan for our Upfronts Event!

Dj Sky Nellor stopped by Caravan during our Upfronts Event. She tried on a couple of dresses, and really fell for this Walter halter dress. She especially loved the Hous 24/7 tees we had, like the Cotton ‘Last Night A Dj Saved My Life’ graphic tee, that was clearly made for her. She also found this amazing gown by Shelia Frank that we adored on her!

Sky was so nice, and as always a pleasure to have with us. Hope to see her again soon!

During the Socialyte.co Gifting Suite, we had a DDF Representative on-site using the new Dermscope Skin Analysis application. Jessica Lapitos from Fashionindie.com, and Christine Oagsheng, both wanted to keep it natural so we used the DDF Weightless Defense Oil-Free Hydrator after finishing up with their Dermscope skin analysis. We gave Jessica a warm eye with the ULTA My Girl eye shadow pallet. Annabelle Fleur of Vivaluxury.blogspot.com, wanted to take home and test out the DDF Wrinkle Resist Pore Minimizer. She had great skin so we wanted to keep it that way. For her makeup we did a dramatic cat eye with the ULTA Dark Denim eye crayon. Sky Nellor (DJ & Model) stopped in. We just did a touch up on her already-perfect makeup, by powdering her nose with the ULTA Fabulous Face Pressed Powder, and shadowing her smoky eye with the ULTA Mink eye shadow, adding a little depth around the corners. She was already a huge fan of our DDF Skincare, so we decided to gift the Revolve 400X Micro-Polishing System, and the Sulfur Therapeutic Mask. Jenni Radosevich from the BudgetFashionista.com, who was headed to the Blog Lovin’ awards after this event, had her makeup done. We primed her with the DDF Wrinkle Resist Pore Minimizer, and the DDF Ultra-Lite Oil-Free Moisturizing Dew. We then gave her the ever popular cat eye with a dark cranberry lip shade by ULTA. Carlene Thomas also received the DermScope Skin Analysis and we decided to gift the Wrinkle Resist Pore Minimizer because she loved it so much. Aidyn Crowe, wardrobe stylist, fell in love with the DDF Amplifying Elixir, so we used that with the Advanced Firming Eye Cream. We wanted her make up to last for the night ahead so we made sure and primed her eye with the ULTA Eye Shadow Primer. Then we gave her a powerful smoky eye, and a soft pink lip by ULTA. Nicole Stillings, Managing Partner at HRS Fund, had a quick evaluation with our DDF representative and liked the Ultra-Lite Oil-Free Moisturizing Dew. Her makeup needed a little refreshing so we gave her a touch of the ULTA bronzer on the apple of her cheeks. Riza Manalo, designer, stopped in and absolutely loved the Blemish Foaming Cleanser. All in all, the event was a huge success, with an outstanding turn out. Good times with good people.

Love New York Event Tuesday, February 14th

Tuesday, February 14th in honor of Valentine’s Day we had our LOVE NEW YORK event, geared toward showing love to designers, bloggers, singers, writers, and editors from the heart of New York City. There was a great turnout, and everyone was dressed to impress! We had HPNOTIQ here keeping us hydrated with LOVE inspired cocktails, and cute cupcakes for our sweet tooth. TIBI Tonic was with us to make sure we had a big night, and a better morning. Jimmy Crystal brought on the bling, providing us with the ultimate back drop for romantic photos and such. ULTA represented for our beauty needs, and DDF was in circulation to keep our skin looking flawless.

We had designers ranging from Marti, Michelle Vale, Rae, Renee Masoomian, Walter, T. Tandon, Heather Lawton, Jewelry by Accessory Artists and Le’cneca by Satomi showcasing some of their new collections. Rebecca Serle, author the forthcoming novel by Simon & Schuster When You Were Mine, did a reading from the book. Colin Smith, singer and songwriter, provided us with an acoustic performance of one of his new songs. Oxygen was here filming for their newest reality show, LA STYLE (from producers of Rachel Zoe, The Hills) with LA’s top stylists being introduced to New York Style.

The models were all prepped with our DDF Wrinkle-Resist Plus Pore Minimizer. For their makeup, we used the ULTA liquid eye liner and gave each a classic eye and red lip. The hair was classic as well, with a side bun and elegant finger wave sweeping across the forehead. It is a very simple style to achieve at home, with a little practice. I used my Babyliss PRO one inch curling iron on the bangs and brushed out the curls and placed them just right, across the forehead, and secured them with a bobby pin. We then slicked the rest back into a side bun. They looked very chic and polished. Overall the event was a huge success, and we had a ton of fun.
