If you ever wondered what wonderful melting pot of beauty created the stunning Toks. She was born to a Norwegian mother and a Nigerian father, Toks Olagundoye is a native of Lagos, Nigeria. Educated in Nigeria, Switzerland and England.
Caravan had a blast shooting this great fashion spread with Toks. It was all fun and games shooting this well traveled beauty with legs that span for miles. Toks has a roster of poses to pull from and each picture was unique with her own personal flavor stamped all over this shoot. We had so many options to pick from with amazing backdrops when we have the beautiful Carlton Hotel as our location.
For all the Hair, Makeup & Nails that we used on Toks Caravan has the best go to brands that have everything you could ever need. Salon Grafix was used for all the hair products, Babyliss Pro for all the hot tools, Zoya Nail Polish, POP Beauty for all the makeup, and DDF for skin care and treatment.
First we started off with styling Toks hair by spraying her hair with ReStyler and combing it through. A light spray of Shaping Hair Spray all over before running the curling iron through the hair. Once the hair sat and cooled we tousled it with a large toothed comb. We then took her hair and gave it a deep one sided natural part. With the side that had the bulk of the hair we took a section of this and lightly twisted it to a free formed pin curl. On the other side just twist it upwards and close to the hairline keeping it tight and flush to head, pin this and give the final style a few sprays of High Gloss Hair Spary.
With the makeup we always want to start off with a fresh canvas and the best way to do that is to use great skin care products. Applying a bit of a light eye cream and a light dew moisturizer and an amazing serum that tightens and tones the skin. This is a great way to protect the skin from the makeup and everyday elements that damage. Now for the makeup, starting off with a bit of Beam Base Primer to give a fresh glow to the skin and for her eyes we use POP Portfolio eye shadows, a sweep of Sun Bronzer on the apple of the cheeks and a dab of lip gloss.
